Empty Room contemplates the souls yearning for purpose without having any idea what that purpose may be.
Empty Room is a song about looking for inspiration and not being able to find it. Looking for a solution and not knowing what a solution might look like. Wanting something but being unsure what it is that you want.
Being at peace in an empty room.
Brain on repeat to the same old tune.
I’m never complete, it won’t ever do.
I think I’m clever, I think I’m screwed.
I’m seeing red, I’m feeling blue.
I’m holding on, I only ever lose.
I have it all, I can’t fill these shoes
I got a light bulb with a tiny fuse.
I think I might fold with a pair of twos.
I cannot solve when I have the clues.
I’m sitting here in an empty room
brain on repeat to the same old tune.
in an empty room.
Eyes on the wall just looking
for something knowing it won’t do.
I think about it,
It gives me nothing!
It’s an empty place,
when I just want something!
Will I ever change? Will I ever do?
I wanna be enough still I wanna choose.
I’m never satisfied with what I have,
it’s all too much.
I’m never understood.
I’m never taken as I’m supposed to be.
People never get what they supposed to see.
They either in my face or won’t come close to me.
I’m neither here nor there I’m stuck between.
